Ask the Fashionista- Socks and Slippers Conundrum

Photobucket

Hey Em...

I have a quick question. Do you prefer to wear socks with your slippers? I do...but I thought I would get a second opinion...Oh, and is this green TOO bright?

Thanks.

Dear Alayna,

(Actual quotes) "Uh huh, I like it. They are pretty!"

I do like to wear socks with my slippers. It's like extra padding. Plus, it's a nice way to add an extra spot of color.

Striped socks are my favorite.

As to your question about the green being too bright- I don't believe in anything being too bright. It's not in my vocabulary (literally- I haven't learned that phrase yet).

Thanks, Alayna!

The Fashionista Reads... There Was a Little Girl...

I thought that this book would be pretty appropriate today as "Harry in Leeds" is getting his hair, ahem, repaired by Kari Ann.

I wouldn't do like this little girl in the book did- I would never cut my own hair, no sirree. Only little brother's, that's for sure. ;)

Rockin' it Eighties' Style

My lovely fashion friend, Kari Ann, got me this outfit, and I love to run up to the store in it with my little kitten heels.

School Clothes

Yesterday was school. I love going to play with my friends on Tuesdays. They have a little horsey there (not a real one, folks!) that is my FAVORITE thing to play with. It's pretty awesome.

Mom assisted in putting together this outfit for me, but she didn't get a chance to get a pic with my sparkly pink and green flip flops on. Oh well!

The Fashionista Reads... "Posey Prefers Pink"

My first "read" to recommend this adorable little book, all about my fave color... the pictures and pages are REALLY bold and graphic, and they appeal to all that is girly with me. :)

I really like the pages with the princess dress and the favorite pink things Posey likes to eat... strawberries are my fave too! :)

I can totally relate to having to argue with my parents about clothing choices- dude, where do they get their fashion sense, anyways?!

You can go here to read through the entire book:

Lookybook- Posey Prefers Pink.

(Just click on each page to turn it.)

(Sorry, dudes for the girly pick this week... next week I promise it'll be a little more neutral!)

4.7.08

No photos from yesterday, with the hustle and bustle of church I wasn't able to get mommy to come take a pic of me. Sheesh.

Fashion Note: Boots with a knee length denim skirt gives it a little more of a modest or dressy look.

Here is my fashion choice for the day:

Skirt: Old Navy via Harper Lee
Boots: unknown via Olivia
Shirt: unknown via Harper Lee

4.5.08

Fashion Note: I'm liking this reoccuring trend of mismatched shoes. It lends a little bit of funkiness to a pretty standard look. Also, a messy bun is a fun twist to a "prim and proper" style dress.

Outift #3 for Saturday

Dress via Harper Lee & Olivia
Flip Flops: Dollar General and Dollar Tree

4.5.08

Fashion Note: Use hair elastics as anklets

Outfit #2 for Saturday:

Easter dress via Lana
Hair bands as anklets from Mommy

Head wrap: Mommy's head band
